Job Summary

The Driver is responsible for safely operating company vehicles for the transportation of goods, materials, or passengers. The role ensures timely deliveries, vehicle upkeep, and compliance with traffic and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate assigned vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and company policies.
• Transport goods/passengers to designated locations on schedule.
• Load and unload products as required, ensuring proper handling.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform basic preventive maintenance checks.
• Monitor vehicle conditions and report mechanical issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of driving hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery logs.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules or adjust as needed based on traffic and conditions.
• Ensure the security of cargo and the safety of passengers.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers.
• Adhere to all safety standards and protocols.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license (LMV/HMV/Commercial – as required).
• Minimum [X] years of driving experience.
• Good knowledge of local roads and routes.
• Strong sense of responsibility and punctuality.
• Ability to lift moderate weights (if required for loading/unloading).
• Clean driving record with no major violations.
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge is an advantage.
