Creating detailed drawings and designs for signaling and telecommunication systems, including track layouts, signal locations, communication networks, and associated equipment.
Utilizing CAD software (like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) and other relevant engineering software to create and modify designs, analyze performance, and generate reports.
Preparing and maintaining comprehensive documentation, including specifications, calculations, and technical manuals, for signaling and telecommunication systems.
Working closely with other engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure designs meet project requirements and are integrated effectively.
Participating in the testing and validation of designs, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards, and addressing any design-related issues.
Ensuring designs adhere to relevant railway standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
Identifying and resolving design-related issues, troubleshooting problems during installation and maintenance, and proposing solutions.
Keeping abreast of new technologies, industry trends, and relevant advancements in signaling and telecommunications.
Developing single-line diagrams (SLDs) and cable sizing for electrical systems.Designing and optimizing layouts for signaling equipment and infrastructure.
Ensuring proper earthing and lightning protection for signaling systems.
Creating and managing documentation for signal locations and interlockings.
Participating in design reviews and providing technical expertise.
Supporting the installation and commissioning of signaling and telecommunication systems.
