Draughtsman

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings and schematics for ELV systems (e.g., CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, fire alarms, and structured cabling etc.) using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Work closely with ELV project engineers and managers to interpret project requirements and translate them into accurate technical designs.
• Revise and update drawings based on client feedback, site surveys, or project changes to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Ensure all designs adhere to Indian and international standards (e.g., BIS, NEC) and G4S quality guidelines.
• Perform calculations for cable routing, equipment placement, and system capacities to support ELV system designs.
• Conduct site visits to verify measurements and incorporate site-specific details into drawings.
• Maintain accurate documentation and version control of drawings, revisions, and project files.
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and civil teams to ensure clash-free integration of ELV systems in project designs.
• Assist in preparing bills of materials (BOM), cost estimates, and technical documentation for project tenders and proposals.
• Stay updated on advancements in ELV technologies, drafting software, and industry best practices to enhance design quality and efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills :

• Education:

  Diploma or Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field. A Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline is a plus.

• Experience:

  2-3 years of hands-on experience as a Draughtsman, preferably in ELV systems or electrical drafting.

Nature of Duty :

• Six days working (Monday to Saturday) with Sunday as the weekly off.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with clients, engineers, and project stakeholders.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in drafting technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address design discrepancies or site-specific challenges. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• A collaborative mindset is required to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Certifications

• Certification on AutoCAD is desirable.
• Certification on design software, viz. Revit, Premiere Pro, and Illustrator preferred.

Additional Requirements

• Willingness to travel for site visits, surveys, and project coordination.
