Role: Fiber Engineer ( Drafting Skills )

Role Description

Accountable for engineering and monitoring of Out-Side Plant (OSP) complex projects.

Provides consultation on Fiber engineering matters by applying in-depth knowledge of fiber

principles, practices, and procedures. Maintains ownership of assignments and provides high

quality deliverables on time with quality.

Key Responsibilities

1. Performs all aspects of OSP engineering for fiber projects according to requirements and

guidelines.

2. Designs/draft the fiber network with optimal route by doing feasibility analysis.

3. Works within customer systems to produce a cost-effective engineering design for the

construction team.

4. Produce quality products to reduce multiple quality checks.

5. Timely raise the queries and concern related to the project.

6. Support and timely availability to deliver the client submittals to meet OTP and quality.

7. Plan fiber/copper cables to poles and place underground cables according to

construction requirements.

8. Take constructive feedback from the QCs/Leads and work to improve efficiency and

quality.

9. Flexible to work in any team/projects as per requirements.

10. Work with the given timeline to complete the task and adapt quickly changing priorities.

11. Should be able to think towards new working ways (Automation, process optimization).

12. Open to take new roles and responsibilities if assigned by the managers as per business

needs.

13. Attentive in all the training/feedback sessions and should be able to explain/recall, if asked

by the leads/trainers.

Critical Experience

• 1-4 year of experience in Fiber network design engineering for an OSP/ISP desired
  
• 1-4 year of experience in Fiber (OSP/ISP) network through work on at least one of the
  

following areas: design, drafting, permitting, traffic control plan, pole load analysis, JPA

• Experience working tools:

  Aramis, AutoCad, IQGEO, Any GIS tool, Waldo, Osmose O-

calc.

Credentials

• B.Tech in any Engineering or equivalent
