Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Doctoral Student in Physics (Materials Science) at Sri Sairam Engineering College, located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. The Doctoral Student will be responsible for conducting advanced research in materials science, performing experiments, analyzing data, and publishing findings. Daily tasks will also include collaborating with faculty members, contributing to research publications, and participating in conferences and seminars.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Physics and Materials Science
• Proficiency in conducting research experiments and data analysis
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Prior experience in academic writing and publishing is a plus

• Master's degree in Physics, Materials Science, or a related field

• Familiarity with research software and tools commonly used in materials science studies
• Those who completed their master's degree in 2024 - 2025 are preferred.

Eligibility

• There will be a common eligibility test conducted by Anna University. The candidate has to clear the test to register for a Ph.D.

Fellowship

• The institution will provide a fellowship for the first three years.
