Director, TB Data Risk and Governance

Job Description: As a Data Sovereignty Risk Analyst at Standard Chartered, you will assess data sovereignty risk across all Transaction Banking Cash and Trade applications and processes. Your role involves aligning with data quality requirements to ensure the framework is fit for its purpose. You will be responsible for registering all risk associated with data in M7 for tracking and remediation, safeguarding data categories from unauthorized access, reporting on completed actions, achievements & challenges of TB DQ projects, and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. Additionally, you will identify and mitigate risks in data handling, storage, and transmission, collaborate with stakeholders to implement DQ initiatives within Transaction Banking Data space, and engage with senior business stakeholders globally. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement strategies to control data, protect it from unauthorized access, and ensure compliance with regulations like GDPR. - Mitigate data breaches, ensure regulatory compliance, and protect different data categories based on business needs. - Shape and drive Book of Work items to remediate regulatory and audit commitments across TB Data Risks, manage prioritization, and define risk treatment plans. - Foster trust among stakeholders by demonstrating commitment to Data Standards and responsible data handling. - Partner with Risk Framework Owners/Process Owners to ensure First Line Business & Functions perform Data related Risk & Controls Self-Assessment (RCSA) and drive completion of key milestones for TB in collaboration with TB/CIB Group Data teams. Qualifications: - Ability to multi-task and manage stakeholders at various levels. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Self-motivated with an optimistic attitude and willingness to learn. - Courageous and willing to challenge the status quo. - Experience in data management projects and data governance in a distributed agile environment. - In-depth understanding of data management obligations and control frameworks. - Knowledge in records digitalization/imaging technology and industry records management solutions.,
