Director of Rooms

As the strategic business leader of the property's Rooms department at JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar, your primary responsibility will be to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate the quality of the property's rooms. You will work closely with your direct reports to devise and execute departmental strategies, ensuring the implementation of the brand service strategy and initiatives. It will be your duty to ensure that Rooms operations align with the brand's standards, cater to customer needs, boost employee satisfaction, drive revenue growth, and optimize the department's financial performance. Your role will involve developing and executing property-wide strategies to deliver products and services that exceed the expectations of both customers and employees, thereby providing a return on investment to the owner and the company. To qualify for this position, you should possess a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major, along with 4 years of experience in guest services, front desk operations, housekeeping, sales and marketing, or other relevant professional areas. Alternatively, a 4-year bachelor's degree in a related field, coupled with 2 years of experience in similar roles, will also be considered. Your key responsibilities will include leading the Rooms team to champion the brand's service vision, managing profitability by analyzing service issues and identifying trends, monitoring revenue goals by evaluating sales performance against budget, and ensuring exceptional customer service by fostering a culture of guest satisfaction throughout the customer experience. You will be actively involved in managing human resources activities such as interviewing and hiring employees, setting goals for direct reports, conducting performance appraisals, and fostering employee commitment to providing excellent service.
