Director of Privacy and Data Protection

As a Privacy and Data Protection Director at Wipro Limited, you will be a key member of the Wipro Privacy and AI Governance Team, dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in privacy, data protection, AI governance, and ethics. Your role will involve: - Acting as a trusted strategic advisor by leading the elevation of the organization's privacy maturity and compliance posture - Enhancing operations through the review and operationalization of policies and processes, identifying opportunities for streamlining and automation - Designing and implementing training programs to enhance team understanding of privacy and data protection, especially in the context of AI and new technologies - Analyzing existing internal processes related to privacy and data governance, leading initiatives for improvement and compliance - Serving as an innovative voice at the intersection of legal frameworks and technological developments - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate privacy considerations into business strategies and operational practices - Developing and implementing privacy compliance initiatives to ensure alignment with relevant regulations and frameworks Qualifications required for this role include: - Proven experience in privacy and data protection roles in a senior capacity - Strong working knowledge of privacy laws and regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA, PDPD, and others relevant to operational geographies - Experience in governance, risk management, and compliance within technology-driven environments, particularly related to AI - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels - Demonstrated ability to manage projects effectively and collaborate in a fast-paced environment - An advanced degree in law, information management, security, or a related field is preferred At Wipro, you will have the opportunity to be part of an innovative team focused on privacy and AI governance, where diversity, collaboration, and employee growth are valued.
