Now, we need YOU. We are hiring our Director of Photography & Videography.

Key Responsibilities:

Director of Photography (DoP)

Creative Direction & Execution

·      Own the visual tone, style, and mood of all photography and videography for Basil

·      Plan and execute product shoots, lifestyle shoots, stop-motion, reels, ads, and campaigns end-to-end

·      Translate brand stories into engaging ad creatives that resonate with kids and parents alike

·      Conceptualize and storyboard brand films, launch videos, and digital ads

·      Bring innovative ideas to amplify Basil’s playful yet premium aesthetic across every platform

Production & Team Management

·      Lead all aspects of shoots: lighting, framing, composition, camera work, and post-production

·      Build and manage an in-house or freelance team of stylists, editors, motion designers, and assistants

·      Scout and coordinate studios, props, models, and locations as needed

·      Manage production budgets and timelines efficiently

Post-Production Oversight

·      Guide editing, grading, sound design, and animation to deliver polished outputs

·      Maintain a library of assets and ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints

Competencies:

·      Experience with D2C or kids’ lifestyle brands

·      Familiarity with social-first content and trends in Instagram, TikTok, YouTube

·      Motion graphics or animation know-how is a plus

·      Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment
