As the Director of Facilities Operations in the healthcare sector, you will play a critical role in leading facilities management services at a 73-bed acute care community hospital in Massachusetts. This hospital offers a range of specialized care services and has recently undergone significant capital improvements. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring a safe, efficient, and compliant environment that supports patient care and hospital operations. **Key Responsibilities:** - Direct facilities operations, including building maintenance, system reliability, and infrastructure support. - Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure optimal functioning of facilities. - Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as Joint Commission, OSHA, and NFPA. - Lead capital projects and renovations in collaboration with hospital leadership and contractors. - Manage, hire, train, and develop a skilled facilities team. - Support emergency preparedness, safety protocols, and sustainability initiatives. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelors degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience. - Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare facilities management. - Strong knowledge of regulatory standards, including Joint Commission, OSHA, and NFPA. - Experience in capital project management and coordination with vendors. - CHFM certification is preferred, or a willingness to obtain it. - Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
