Director of Engineering

This role is for one of Weekday's clients in Bangalore and requires a highly accomplished Director of Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience. The ideal candidate will lead technology teams to develop, deliver, and scale innovative products and solutions. Key responsibilities include defining engineering vision and strategy, leading teams for high productivity and quality, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance, overseeing system architecture and technical design, ensuring delivery of high-quality products, and collaborating with stakeholders to align technology initiatives with business objectives. The Director of Engineering will also mentor engineering managers, leads, and senior engineers, evaluate emerging technologies, establish engineering processes and methodologies, and provide regular updates to executive leadership on progress. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, 10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in leadership roles, strong knowledge of software development practices and cloud platforms, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to balance strategic vision with execution in fast-paced environments.,
