Job Description

As the Director- Industry Relations at GITAM Career Guidance Centre (GCGC), you will play a crucial role in connecting GITAM students with promising career opportunities. Your key responsibilities include: - Developing and implementing a robust Go-To-Market strategy to position GITAM as a preferred talent source for industrial and commercial enterprises - Engaging with corporations and industries across India to establish and nurture relationships with top recruiters - Cultivating partnerships with businesses to create a sustainable pipeline of internships, project work, and entry-level jobs for GITAM students - Identifying niche opportunities for talented students and facilitating placements in high-end jobs and internships - Collaborating with campus career services teams to ensure adherence to quality standards and customer satisfaction - Building and leading a high-performance Industry Relations team focused on sales, business development, and account management - Establishing satellite offices as needed and implementing remote monitoring mechanisms - Leveraging technology and analytics tools for efficient operations and informed decision-making - Being accountable for achieving internship, project work, and job placement outcomes as per defined criteria - Providing regular updates to leadership on activities and performance progress - Developing sector-specific outreach strategies in collaboration with GITAM schools and academic departments The ideal candidate for this role should possess: - Experience in sales and business development, particularly with high-value products/services in large enterprises - Demonstrated success in building relationships at the CXO level and exceeding sales quotas - Strong communication and team-building skills - Deep insight into industry hiring trends and recruitment processes, with exposure to campus placements preferred - Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent - 10+ years of relevant experience, including at least five years in managing high-performance sales teams Please note that additional details about the company were not provided in the job description.
