Role & responsibilities

Engineering Manager at X4 level

Key Responsibilities

Drive
technical delivery
across projects with measurable business outcomes
Coach and grow team leads (X4s, X5s) — build a leadership bench
Align engineering execution with quarterly OKRs and company strategy
Own
system design reviews
, scalability, and production readiness
Improve engineering processes: velocity, reliability, review quality
Partner with PMs and Designers on roadmap and scope alignment
Lead hiring, onboarding, and talent calibration across pods
Cultivate a high-ownership, low-ego, feedback-driven team culture

What You Bring

8–12 years of engineering experience, with
3+ years in leadership
Proven ability to lead
multi-team delivery
and cross-functional alignment
Deep experience in
backend or full-stack architecture
(Node.js, Go, Python preferred)
Strong grasp of
DevOps, CI/CD, and platform reliability
Track record of
developing engineering leads
and scaling high-performing teams
Comfortable working in
fast-paced, product-led environments
Strong communication skills — you can influence up, across, and down
