Direct Walkin /Coimbatore /Structural Design Engineer

• Develop 3D models, isometric views, orthographic views and general arrangement (GA) drawings using AutoCAD Plant 3D, Inventor and Revit.
• Create and manage structural modelling, equipment modelling, and pipe routing in AutoCAD Plant 3D.
• Generate accurate frame structures using Frame Generator tools in Inventor.
• Collaborate with Onsite structural engineers to interpret designs into detailed CAD drawings.
• Ensure all drawings and models meet industry standards and project specifications.
• Use Navisworks for model review and coordination.
• Familiar with standard structural steel sections and apply them in models.
• Drive Design for manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
• Develop Bills of Material (BOM) and design documents.
• Knowledge on Material Selection for product based on application

Required Skills

• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D drafting and 3D modelling.
• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D, including structural, piping and equipment modelling and GA drawings.
• Working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor, including Frame Generator.
• Familiarity with Navisworks for model coordination.
• Strong understanding of structural design principles and standard steel sections.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve problems.
• Strong leadership skills with pro-active approach
• Excellent communication, presentation, technical writing skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Fluent in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Civil / Structural Engineering or related degree from an accredited 4-year university or college.
• 4 to 6+ years of relevant experience in a CAD designer role in structural or plant design.
• Familiarity with design codes like IS, AISC, or Eurocodes is a plus.
• Knowledge of Lean Principles, Six Sigma and Kaizen
