Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Income Tax / Direct Tax Executive with of hands-on experience in direct tax compliances. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing monthly TDS activities, statutory filings, tax audits, and addressing income tax-related matters to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Monthly TDS Compliances

• Ensure accurate computation and timely deduction of TDS as per applicable provisions.
• Prepare and process monthly TDS payments within statutory timelines.
• Maintain updated knowledge of TDS sections, rates, thresholds, and recent amendments.

2. TDS Returns Filing

• Prepare and file quarterly TDS returns (Form 24Q, 26Q, 27Q, 27EQ).
• Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to validate supporting documents.

3. TDS Receivable Reconciliation

• Regularly reconcile Form 26AS, TRACES data, and books of accounts.
• Identify mismatches in TDS receivable and follow up for corrections.
• Track TDS certificates (Form 16/16A) and ensure timely collection and validation.

4. Tax Audit & Schedules

• Assist in preparation of tax audit reports (Form 3CD) and related annexures.
• Prepare and manage tax audit working papers and supporting schedules.
• Coordinate with auditors and provide necessary details for completion of audits.

5. Income Tax Return (ITR) Filing

• Prepare and file income tax returns for individuals, firms, LLPs, and companies as applicable.
• Verify data accuracy in financial statements and tax computation before filing.
• Maintain documentation to support tax positions and computations.

6. Handling Income Tax Notices & Tracker Maintenance

• Draft replies to Income Tax notices, queries, and other departmental

communications.

• Coordinate with tax authorities for assessments, rectifications, and follow-ups.
• Maintain an updated tracker for all ongoing and completed income tax matters.
• Ensure timely escalation and resolution of critical issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field.
• 1-4 years of experience in direct tax/TDS compliance.
• Strong understanding of Income Tax Act, TDS provisions, and tax audit requirements.
• Experience working with Tally / ERP systems and TRACES portal.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, reconciliation tools).
• Good communication skills for drafting replies and coordinating with

stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
