Digital Transformation Head-Engineering-BFSI- Bangalore

As the Lead of the digital delivery organization, your role will involve overseeing a wide range of areas including web applications, mobile apps, cloud platforms, APIs, customer portals, and agent tools. You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of digital projects and programs, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet high-quality standards. Your collaboration with business, operations, and global IT stakeholders will be crucial in aligning delivery roadmaps with strategic business goals. Additionally, you will be tasked with building and scaling Agile delivery models, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines. Managing a diverse team of software engineers, architects, scrum masters, product owners, and QA professionals will also fall under your purview. You will be expected to champion digital innovation by introducing emerging technologies such as AI/ML, Low-Code/No-Code, Intelligent Automation, and Cloud-native solutions. Furthermore, creating and enforcing robust governance for project tracking, risk management, and compliance, as well as developing strong vendor partnerships for flexible delivery capacity augmentation, will be key responsibilities. Setting up metrics/KPIs to measure delivery efficiency, customer satisfaction, and business impact, and fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and high performance will also be important aspects of your role. Qualifications: - Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline - 20+ years of progressive experience in technology delivery, with at least 5 years leading digital technology initiatives preferably in insurance or financial services - Strong experience managing large, distributed teams in an onsite-offshore model - Deep expertise in digital platforms (web/mobile), APIs/microservices, cloud development (AWS/Azure), and modern engineering practices - Proven track record in Agile (Scrum, SAFe) and DevOps transformation - Familiarity with insurance industry processes like underwriting, claims, policy admin, and customer servicing is a strong plus - Excellent stakeholder management, executive communication, and team leadership skills - Ability to thrive in a matrixed, fast-paced, global environment Preferred Skills: - Certifications: SAFe Agilist, PMP, Scrum Master, Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure) - Exposure to InsurTech partnerships and emerging tech ecosystems - Experience with modernization programs focusing on legacy-to-digital transition,
