Job Description

You will be the Digital Manufacturing Engineering Expert responsible for leading transformative Digital initiatives within the Grid Technologies Product business, specifically focusing on Transformers and Switchgears manufacturing. Your role will involve close collaboration with external technology partners, including Consulting companies and Startups, to integrate cutting-edge IT-OT solutions in factory operations. Your expertise in Discrete Manufacturing for Power and Electrical Transmission equipment will be crucial in designing, developing, and implementing scalable applications that leverage cloud technologies and data analytics to enhance operational efficiency and drive business value. Your key responsibilities will include designing and developing cloud-based applications using AWS services, with a focus on AWS IoT SiteWise for real-time data collection and analysis. You will also be tasked with implementing data warehousing solutions using Snowflake to support analytics and reporting, including integration from SAP systems. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate IT and OT systems seamlessly, developing and maintaining SAP applications and interfaces, and troubleshooting application issues in a timely manner will be part of your daily activities. Keeping abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation will also be essential for success in this role. To excel in this position, you must have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, with a Master's degree considered a plus. You should possess 8-10 years of application development experience in a manufacturing environment, specializing in Application Development, MES Application Development, SAP, AWS, Snowflake, SQL, and Database Management. Strong knowledge of IIoT concepts and implementation, particularly with AWS IoT SiteWise, as well as experience with SAP development and integration, including migrating data to Snowflake, will be necessary. Proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript, and familiarity with machine learning concepts and frameworks are also required. Additionally, a deep understanding of Networking and industrial communication protocols (e.g., OPC, Ethernet/IP, MQTT, Modbus), Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and relevant certifications in technologies or engineering disciplines will be advantageous. A problem-solving mindset, critical thinking ability, and strong inter-personal and communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders are essential qualities for success in this role.,
