Job Title: Dialysis Unit Incharge

Qualification: B.Sc Nursing/B. Sc Dialysis Technology

Job Roles & Responsibilities:

Unit Operations Management Oversee daily functioning of the dialysis unit, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to protocols.

Patient Care Supervision Monitor patient treatment schedules, clinical parameters, and post-dialysis care, ensuring high standards of safety and hygiene.

Team Supervision & Training Lead and guide dialysis technicians, nurses, and support staff; provide continuous training on procedures and infection control.

Resource Management Maintain adequate stock of dialysis supplies, consumables, and medicines; coordinate with procurement.

Quality & Compliance Ensure adherence to NABH guidelines, infection control protocols, and biomedical waste management norms.

Coordination with Physicians Liaise with nephrologists and other doctors for patient treatment plans and clinical updates.

Equipment Maintenance Oversight Ensure dialysis machines and water treatment systems are functioning optimally; coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs.

Emergency Handling Respond promptly to patient emergencies during dialysis sessions.

Record Keeping & Reporting Maintain accurate patient records, treatment logs, and submit periodic reports to management.

Patient Education Guide patients and caregivers on diet, medication adherence, and home care post-dialysis.

Requirements

Expertise in hemodialysis procedures and patient care protocols

Knowledge of NABH guidelines and infection control practices

Proficiency in dialysis machine operation and troubleshooting

Strong team leadership and staff supervision abilities

Inventory and resource management skills

Ability to handle patient emergencies calmly and effectively

Good communication and patient counselling skills

Accurate record keeping and reporting ability

Coordination with multidisciplinary healthcare teams

Understanding of biomedical waste management norms
