Job Purpose Job Purpose Description Job Context & Major Challenges Renusagar Power Division is a captive Power Plant of Hindalco Industries Limited, Renukoot, comprising 10 Units with rated combined capacity of 740 MW. The township has over 2000 residential quarters accommodating around 10,000 residents. The job context entails ensuring safe, secure and harmonious living and working environment in the Plant and township, and also ensure high standards and functioning of infrastructural services viz Security, Fire Fighting, H&S, Garden, Transport, Guest House, Dairy and Pest Control, comprising a manpower of over 550 and annual budgetary allocation exceeding 1.10 crores. The main thrust is to achieve high internal and external customer satisfaction in respect of above, and continually innovate and technologically upgrade them to reach highest bench marks in the industry.Security and Town Administration, comprising Security, Transport, Guest House, Fire Fighting, Hygiene and Sanitation, Horticulture, Pest Control and Diary, is the biggest service department of Renusagar Power Division. Administrative and operational handling of these, including budget preparation/monitoring as well as man management of over 550 personnel is a challenge in itself, entailing a high degree of skill, decisiveness and cross functional ability. The major challenges are spread over the following areas Security To provide a secure working and living environment to all and ensure minimization of losses by ensuring protection of companys property and personnel against theft, pilferage, sabotage and subversion. This includes monitoring and coordinating security arrangements at Loading Station, Jhingurdah, located around 20 Km from RPD Ensure safety and security of over 8 Km of ARW from L/S, Jhingurdah to RPD, against theft and sabotage by miscreantsPlan and ensure effective traffic management within township where over 2000 coal/ash/store carrying dumpers/trucks are plying through the premises on daily basis To handle disputes between residents of township using utmost tact as some of these issues are of highly sensitive nature, capable of snowballing into a major law and order problem Fire Fighting Ensure operational readiness of fire fighting personnel and equipment in Plant and township to deal with any emergency To oversee and coordinate firefighting operations, which involve, on an average 200 fire calls a year To maintain a close liaison with CISF, ATPP as part of Mutual Aid Scheme Hygiene and Sanitation To ensure high housekeeping/hygiene and sanitation/mosquito control standards in a congested township, which is surrounded on all sides by villages, whose residents have been allowed free access to company premises Light Transport Key Result Areas KRA (Accountabilities) (Max 1325 Characters) Supporting Actions (Max 1325 Characters) KRA1 Security of The Plant & Township Plan and ensure safety of Plant, prevent encroachment on company land and take steps to minimize theft from Plant & Colony premises. 1. To formulate and ensure implementation of an effective security policy covering Plant and Colony premises. Ensure proper regulation of personnel and vehicular movement in/out of Plant premises. Organizing regular patrolling in the Plant /Township under supervision of security staff. Organizing frequent search operations at the Gate to preempt any theft/pilferage. Regulating and monitoring the movement of all material, including in or out of the Plant. Proper maintenance and updation of all records pertaining to movement of material going in/out of Plant or Colony premises Planning and organizing raids with assistance from Police on miscreants and scrap dealers operating in the area. KRA2 Functioning of Dairy. 1.Ensure effective Dairy Management to have milk production at optimum cost. Ensure proper and timely distribution of milk and prevent its pilferage. Ensure maintenance of good H&S standards in the Dairy. Take steps to reduce milk subsidy Ensure proper maintenance and updation of records pertaining to Dairy. KRA3 Administration of Fire Fighting Department 1. Planning, Budgeting and control of Fire Fighting operations. Conducting of Fire Fighting Training of various departments. KRA4 Environment, Hygiene & Sanitation & Safety 1. General administration of staff & workers of Garden, Hygiene & Sanitation and Pest control department. To plan, develop and implement best practices of Hygiene & Sanitation, Safety and Environment (Green Belt) related issues in the Plant/Colony. Taking regular feed back from departments & residents of colony for further improvement of Hygiene & Sanitation standards. Planning, Budgeting & monitoring all activities of Garden, H&S and Pest Control. Traffic regulation in Plant and Township KRA5 Transport Management (O&M of LV) . Formulate a Transport Policy to ensure effective management of vehicles for maximum availability to customers. Ensure maintenance & roadworthiness of vehicles. Ensure high standards of road safety & pollution norms. Ensure all administrative & statutory compliances in accordance with MV Act. KRA6 Guest House Management 1. Monitor implementation of services for increased customer satisfaction at optimum cost. Ensure high standards of catering services. Ensure high standards of upkeep & maintenance of Guest House infrastructure. KRA7 Liasioning with local Govt. Auth., Police, Forest department, RTO & village Pradhans 1.Facilitate in maintaining good relations with Govt. officials, Police & local Villagers. Assist in organizing meetings with local Govt. officialsand village representatives. KRA8 WCM/QC/ISO-14001 etc. Ensure effective implementation of WCM practices and re-certification of ISO-14001/OHSAS 18001 etc 1. To implement & review WCM practices in the Plant & Township. Review, plan & monitor the 5-S, Hygiene and Safety aspects. To facilitate implementation of environment policy for re-certification of ISO 14001/OHSAS 18001 etc. Show more Show less
