Job Summary

We are se Goregoan Mumbai, Indiaand motivated DevOps Engineer with hands-on experience in managing on-premise servers, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and automating infrastructure using Jenkins and Ansible. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in setting up and maintaining large-scale clusters involving Cassandra, PostgreSQL, Kafka, ELK Stack, Grafana, and YugabyteDB, along with strong Linux ad ministration and scripting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain on-premise infrastructure for high-availability and scalable systems.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for automated service deployment.
• Write and maintain Ansible scripts for configuration management and infrastructure automation.
• Set up, monitor, and optimize large clusters of Cassandra, PostgreSQL, Kafka, ELK, Grafana, and YugabyteDB.
• Implement robust monitoring and alerting solutions using Grafana, ELK Stack, and other tools.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to streamline deployment processes and improve system reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, deployment, and performance issues across environments.
• Maintain and enhance Linux-based environments, ensuring security, performance, and compliance.
• Create and maintain automation scripts for routine tasks and system operations.
• Perform capacity planning, disaster recovery, and backup strategy implementation.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for critical incidents and drive long-term fixes.
• Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure, processes, and configurations.
• Continuously evaluate and integrate new tools and technologies to improve DevOps practices.
• Support release management and version control strategies across environments.
• Enforce infrastructure security best practices, including patching, access control, and auditing.
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide support for production systems.
• Understand application functionality and perform validation/testing of deployments to ensure system integrity and performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience with on-prem server management and infrastructure setup.
• Strong proficiency in Jenkins and Ansible for CI/CD and automation.
• Hands-on experience with Cassandra, PostgreSQL, Kafka, ELK Stack, Grafana, YugabyteDB in clustered environments.
• Excellent knowledge of Linux system administration and shell scripting.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
• Familiarity with networking concepts, security best practices, and performance tuning.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus, though the role is primarily on-prem.
• Familiarity with GitOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
