Key Responsibilities 1. Infrastructure Management Design, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP). Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. Optimize infrastructure for scalability, security, and cost-efficiency. Manage networking, security groups, load balancers, and DNS configurations. 2. CI/CD Pipeline Automation Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for multiple environments (Dev, Staging, Prod). Ensure smooth, zero-downtime deployments with rollback mechanisms. Integrate automated testing and code quality checks into pipelines. 3. Monitoring and Incident Management Set up and manage monitoring, alerting, and logging systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog). Ensure system uptime, reliability, and performance KPIs are met. Participate in on-call rotations and respond to production incidents. Conduct post-mortems and implement preventive measures. 4. Security and Compliance Implement best practices for access control, secret management, and data encryption. Conduct periodic security audits and vulnerability assessments. Ensure compliance with standards like SOC2, ISO27001, or GDPR where applicable. 5. Automation and Tooling Automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency using scripting (Bash, Python, etc.). Maintain and improve build systems, deployment scripts, and environment setups. Develop internal tools for developer productivity and environment management. 6. Collaboration and Process Improvement Work closely with developers to ensure smooth integration and deployment of applications. Collaborate with QA, product, and support teams to resolve environment-related issues. Contribute to DevOps best practices, documentation, and knowledge sharing. Evaluate new tools and technologies to improve delivery and reliability. 7. Backup, Disaster Recovery, and Performance Implement data backup and recovery strategies. Ensure high availability and fault tolerance of systems. Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning.
