Devops Engineer

Key Responsibilities

1. Infrastructure Management

• Design, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  
• Optimize infrastructure for scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.
  
• Manage networking, security groups, load balancers, and DNS configurations.
  

2. CI/CD Pipeline Automation

• Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for multiple environments (Dev, Staging, Prod).
  
• Ensure smooth, zero-downtime deployments with rollback mechanisms.
  
• Integrate automated testing and code quality checks into pipelines.
  

3. Monitoring and Incident Management

• Set up and manage monitoring, alerting, and logging systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
  
• Ensure system uptime, reliability, and performance KPIs are met.
  
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to production incidents.
  
• Conduct post-mortems and implement preventive measures.
  

4. Security and Compliance

• Implement best practices for access control, secret management, and data encryption.
  
• Conduct periodic security audits and vulnerability assessments.
  
• Ensure compliance with standards like SOC2, ISO27001, or GDPR where applicable.
  

5. Automation and Tooling

• Automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency using scripting (Bash, Python, etc.).
  
• Maintain and improve build systems, deployment scripts, and environment setups.
  
• Develop internal tools for developer productivity and environment management.
  

6. Collaboration and Process Improvement

• Work closely with developers to ensure smooth integration and deployment of applications.
  
• Collaborate with QA, product, and support teams to resolve environment-related issues.
  
• Contribute to DevOps best practices, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
  
• Evaluate new tools and technologies to improve delivery and reliability.
  

7. Backup, Disaster Recovery, and Performance

• Implement data backup and recovery strategies.
  
• Ensure high availability and fault tolerance of systems.
  
• Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning.
