Responsibilities:
Good familiarization with cloud systems. AWS would be preferred.
Good understanding of Linux systems and their operations for web hosting, e-commerce, DB hosting, docker and Vms.
Good understanding of CI/CD pipeline of Jenkins for zero downtime deployment
Good Understanding of version control system like Github
Good understanding of web server deployments from DNS to the actual deployments – Basic scripting knowledge on Linux.
Basic understanding of the deployments of MySQL, PostgreSQL and other servers.
Basic understanding of Docker, Kubernetes and the associated tool set.
General understanding of web server deployment troubleshooting.
General understanding of reading and using the log files and monitoring systems.
Required Skills:
Excellent Linux system administration
Above average on AWS or GCP or Azure
Average on DB system management
Good in Shell scripting
Good in Scripting in either of these – Python/JavaScript/Powershell/Ruby
Experience in Docker, Kubernetes
Experience in Jenkins CI/CD
Experience in Github VCS
Good in Cloud security
DevOps Exposure to Magento or RoR is preferred
Excellent oral and written communication
Some cloud certification would be an added advantage
Having team management experience would be desirable
Team player
Person should be willing to work from a client location as and when needed
