DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage containerized applications on OpenShift (Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform).
  
• Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Tekton.
  
• Manage Kubernetes/OpenShift cluster operations, including scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  
• Collaborate with development teams to containerize applications and implement best practices for container security and resource management.
  
• Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Helm charts.
  
• Monitor application performance, health, and logging using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or OpenShift monitoring tools.
  
• Automate routine tasks and workflows to improve deployment efficiency and reliability.
  
• Ensure compliance with security policies and standards in deployment pipelines and cluster configurations.
  
• Troubleshoot complex issues related to OpenShift platform and deployed applications.
  
• Provide documentation and training to development and operations teams on OpenShift usage and best practices.
  

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (3.x/4.x).
  
• Hands-on expertise in Kubernetes concepts, architecture, and ecosystem.
  
• Proficient in container technologies: Docker, container registries, image building and optimization.
  
• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent tools.
  
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Helm.
  
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Groovy for automation.
  
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Fluentd, or equivalent.
  
• Understanding of networking concepts in Kubernetes/OpenShift (ingress controllers, service mesh, DNS, etc.).
  
• Knowledge of security best practices in containerized environments (RBAC, secrets management, pod security policies).
  
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
  
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
