As a software engineer at UBS, your role involves designing and building next-generation business applications using the latest technologies. You will be responsible for providing technology solutions that address business problems and reinforce the company's position as digital leaders in financial services. Your key responsibilities include: - Analyzing business requirements for Order Trade Management. - Designing, planning, and delivering sustainable solutions using modern programming languages. - Offering technical expertise and recommendations for new software projects and initiatives. - Conducting code reviews, testing software, and participating in application architecture and design discussions. - Ensuring appropriate operational controls and procedures are implemented for a smooth transition from test to production environments. To be successful in this role, you should have: - 8+ years of experience in configuring and implementing DevOps workflows using Gitlab pipelines, docker containers, and AKS cluster. - Strong practical delivery of automation scripts in Unix-based platforms (bash, python). - Experience in ETL and ETL processing via tools like Azure Data Factory (ADF). - Good knowledge of Azure environment, containerization concepts, cloud-native development practices, Azure wizard, etc. - Expertise in managing source code version control, maintaining code repository, and establishing process control points as per development team's needs. - Proficiency in automating release/deployment processes and enforcing change management processes. - Strong experience working with build and CI tools like GitLab, Maven, Git. - Establishing build, release, and configuration management guidelines using industry best practices.
