Development Lead - C2

Position Overview: SAP Development Lead We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP Development Lead with 10-12 years of expertise in designing, developing, and implementing SAP solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on SAP S/4 HANA, RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming), FIORI extensions, and Clean Core development. This role requires a proactive individual with a deep understanding of SAP's extensibility options, modern ABAP practices, and a proven ability to lead development teams. Shape Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the development team in delivering high-quality SAP solutions in line with project goals and timelines. Design, develop, and implement custom solutions using SAP S/4 HANA ABAP, SAP RAP, and FIORI extensions while adhering to clean core principles. Ensure compliance with SAP Clean Core methodology by minimizing customizations and leveraging BAdIs, user exits, and extensibility frameworks. Architect and develop RAP-based services to support modern and scalable SAP applications. Guide the team in implementing SAP Fiori/UI5 applications and extend standard applications as per business requirements. Conduct fit-gap analysis and recommend best practices for SAP extensibility and performance optimization. Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Monitor code quality, enforce development standards, and perform code reviews to ensure adherence to SAP best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues related to custom and standard SAP applications. Stay updated on the latest SAP technologies, tools, and methodologies to drive continuous improvement. Shape Required Skills and Qualifications: 10-12 years of hands-on SAP development experience, with expertise in SAP S/4 HANA ABAP and FIORI/UI5 extensions. Proficient in SAP RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model) and clean core development practices. Strong understanding of BAdIs, enhancements, user exits, and SAP extensibility frameworks. Experience in designing and implementing SAP Fiori elements, custom UI5 applications, and OData services. Solid knowledge of modern ABAP syntax, including CDS views, AMDP, and other advanced techniques. Familiarity with SAP's extensibility options, such as Side-by-Side extensions using BTP or In-App extensions. Proven ability to lead and mentor development teams, ensuring the delivery of scalable and high-performing solutions. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in SAP landscapes. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Shape Preferred Qualifications: Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and integration technologies. Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices in the SAP ecosystem (e.g., CI/CD pipelines for ABAP). SAP certifications in S/4 HANA ABAP or Fiori development are a plus.
