Developer III - Application Support Engineer

You are a Software Developer with a minimum of 2 years of experience seeking an Application Support Analyst position in the IT team of a global digital transformation solutions provider. As an Application Support Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and usability of business-critical applications by providing technical support. Your role involves troubleshooting issues, managing incidents, and closely collaborating with development and infrastructure teams to resolve problems and implement improvements. You are required to have proven experience in application support or a similar technical support role, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, familiarity with SQL, scripting languages, and log analysis tools, as well as experience with ITSM tools like ServiceNow and Jira. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will provide first and second-line support for enterprise applications, monitor application performance, respond to alerts and incidents, troubleshoot and resolve application issues, escalate when necessary, collaborate with development teams for deploying updates and patches, maintain documentation for support processes and known issues, assist with user training and onboarding for new applications, participate in testing and quality assurance for application changes, and ensure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and best practices.
