Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a few highly skilled and motivated "Developers & Senior developers RPG" to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in

RPG development

on the

AS400 (iSeries) platform

and hands-on experience in the

insurance domain

. You will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting critical insurance applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using RPG (RPG IV / RPGLE / Free RPG) on the AS400 platform.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solutions.
  • Work closely with stakeholders from the insurance domain to understand requirements and deliver impactful features.
  • Perform code reviews, optimization, and troubleshooting of existing systems and programs.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for new and existing programs.
  • Participate in system integration, testing, and deployment activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in RPG programming on the AS400 (iSeries) platform.
  • Strong working knowledge of RPG IV / RPGLE / Free Format RPG.
  • Experience in the insurance domain is required.
  • Proficient in working with CL/CLLE, DB2/400, DDS, and SQL.
  • Understanding of system interfaces, batch jobs, and file handling on AS400.
  • Familiarity with SDLC processes and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to modernization tools or integration with web technologies.
  • Experience in handling production support and change requests.
  • Knowledge of performance tuning and debugging in RPG programs.
