Desktop Support

As a Desktop Support Engineer, your role involves assisting clients with computer hardware and software issues. You will be responsible for on-site work including software upgrades, systems integrations, and addressing basic IT-related problems. Your success in this role will depend on your extensive knowledge of home and office systems, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent interpersonal skills. Key Responsibilities: - Respond to client support requests promptly. - Contact clients to understand the nature of the problem. - Troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively. - Install and maintain hardware, computer peripherals, operating systems, and software. - Troubleshoot networking and connection issues. - Advise on software or hardware upgrades. - Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology. - Proven work experience as a desktop support engineer or support technician. - Advanced knowledge of computer hardware systems, chipsets, memory modules, and peripherals. - Familiarity with popular operating systems, software applications, and remote connection systems. - Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards. - Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment. - Strong problem-solving skills with the capability to address complex hardware and software issues. - Willingness to travel and work after hours when necessary. - Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills. - Good written and verbal communication skills.
