Desktop Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Hardware Maintenance:

• Install, configure, and maintain hardware components (desktops, laptops, printers, servers, and peripherals).

• Troubleshooting:

• Diagnose and resolve hardware-related issues (malfunctioning components, connectivity issues, peripheral failures).

• Repairs and Replacements:

• Conduct repairs on faulty hardware or arrange replacements, minimizing business disruption.

• Inventory Management:

• Maintain an accurate inventory of hardware assets, including warranty tracking and lifecycle replacements.

• User Support:

• Provide technical support to end-users for hardware-related issues, ensuring prompt resolution.
• Keep detailed records of hardware configurations, repairs, and updates.

• Network Maintenance:

• Monitor and maintain network hardware and software (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points).

• Network Troubleshooting:

• Diagnose and resolve network issues (connectivity, hardware failures, software conflicts).

• Network Security:

• Implement and manage network security measures to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.

• System Updates:

• Perform regular updates and patches to network systems and software to maintain security protocols.

• Network User Support:

• Provide technical support for network-related issues (connectivity problems, VPN access, network printer setup).
• Maintain accurate records of network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps.

• Network Optimization:

• Analyze and improve network performance to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Certifications: CCNA, MCSA, A+, Networking Certification.
• Proven experience in network support, with solid understanding of network infrastructure and protocols.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
