Designer

The successful candidate for the Web Designer position will have the ability to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts, as well as transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional designs. You will be responsible for executing all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering. Additionally, you will conceptualize original website design ideas that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex roadblocks. Your responsibilities will include creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas. You will present and defend designs and key deliverables to peers and executive-level stakeholders. Furthermore, you will establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards. The ideal candidate should have proven work experience as a Web Designer with demonstrable graphic design skills and a strong portfolio. Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps is required. Proficiency in tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, or other visual design and wireframing tools is essential. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process is preferred. Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction, as well as the ability to solve problems creatively and effectively, are crucial. Being up-to-date with the latest web trends, techniques, and technologies is expected. A degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or a Visual Arts subject (BS/MS) would be advantageous.
