Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled AutoCAD & SolidWorks Designer with 2–3 years of experience in the Aluminium Die Casting industry. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate 2D drawings and 3D models for die-casting components, molds, and related tooling, ensuring designs meet manufacturing and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and modify 2D drawings using AutoCAD
• Develop 3D models, assemblies, and part drawings using SolidWorks
• Design and detail aluminium die-cast components, molds, dies, and fixtures
• Prepare manufacturing drawings, including dimensions, tolerances, and BOMs
• Apply GD&T standards as per drawing requirements
• Coordinate with production, tooling, and quality teams for design feasibility
• Revise designs based on trial results, customer feedback, and process improvements
• Maintain drawing revisions and documentation control
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal design guidelines

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in AutoCAD and SolidWorks
• Experience in Aluminium Die Casting design and development
• Strong understanding of die-casting processes, molds, and tooling
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods, materials, and surface finishes
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and customer specifications
• Good analytical, communication, and teamwork skills

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of DFM/DFA for die casting
• Experience with PDM or document control systems
• Exposure to tool trial support and production issue resolution
• Basic knowledge of simulation or mold flow analysis
