Design Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Lead and manage the

  design & development of new products/machinery

  in the NPD department.
• Handle

  retrofit projects

  and create

  new design concepts

  for packaging and food machinery.
• Translate customer and business requirements into

  robust, innovative, and cost-effective engineering designs

  .
• Perform

  stress analysis, load calculations, and material selection

  to ensure design reliability and efficiency.
• Apply

  metallurgical knowledge

  for material optimization and product durability.
• Provide hands-on expertise in

  CAD/CAM, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks

  for design development, modification, and troubleshooting.\
• Collaborate with

  manufacturing, quality, R&D, and supply chain teams

  to ensure product feasibility and compliance with industry standards.
• Guide, mentor, and review the work of design engineers to ensure high-quality outputs.
• Prepare and maintain

  design documentation, drawings, BOMs, and technical records

  .
• Drive

  value engineering, continuous improvement, and design optimization

  initiatives.
• Ensure on-time delivery of design solutions for

  Visvile, JV, and Mitsubishi projects

  .
• Stay updated with latest

  industry trends, technology advancements, and regulatory requirements

  relevant to packaging and food machinery design.
• Support

  prototype development, testing, validation, and final product approvals

  .
