Design Manager

Role & responsibilities

1. Responsible for complete design development of tenders / projects, including

preparation and supervision of shop drawings, die development, manufacturing

drawings, and part drawings.

2. Establish a comprehensive project schedule that meets client requirements, covering

all works in the Technical Department, factories, and site.

3. Planning and managing project design phase resources to optimize utilization and

efficiency.

4. To convert design concepts into working drawings, reviewing project plans and

specifications, providing feedback on interior fit-out and facade design, scheduling, and

recommending cost-saving measures while identifying potential installation issues.

5. Collaborate with department heads (Production, Procurement, Quality, and Project) to

integrate inputs and manage project requirements, ensuring effective design

development.

6. Ensure adherence to all design-related processes, including concept design, working

drawings, material optimization, construction drawings, and production drawings, bar

drawings, purchase, and production release.

7. Ensure all variations are captured, documented, and communicated to relevant

department heads.

8. Ensure preparation and completion of As-Built shop drawings upon project completion.

9. Perform any other duties as assigned by the reporting head or management.
