Design & Estimation Engineer

The Design & Estimation Engineer plays a crucial role in the organization by translating client requirements into detailed design and cost estimates. In this position, you will closely collaborate with clients and the sales team to ensure that technical specifications are accurately understood and reflected in project estimates and the Bill of Materials (BOM). As an Engineer, you will accompany the sales team on site visits, resolve inspection queries, and conduct regular review meetings to assess project statuses and enhance estimation accuracy. Furthermore, you will mentor new team members and contribute to a streamlined and effective estimation process that aligns with client expectations and business goals. Your primary responsibilities will include collaborating with clients to address technical specifications and design requirements, updating and revising the Bill of Materials (BOM) based on client feedback, and resolving inspection queries related to design, technical specifications, and calculations from QC and sales departments. You will also accompany the sales team on site visits to clarify and assess technical requirements. To excel in this role, you should have proficiency in design and estimation software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools. A strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and cost estimation techniques is essential. Additionally, you should possess the ability to troubleshoot and respond to inspection queries from QC and sales teams. Effective communication skills are crucial for collaborating with clients, the sales team, and internal departments. Your role will involve interpreting technical specifications and translating client requirements into accurate estimations and designs.
