Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Design and develop components manufactured through
casting and forging processes
.
Create
3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs
using CAD software
UGNX
Perform
DFM / DFA
for casting and forging parts.
Develop
gating, riser, and die design concepts
(for casting).
Support
tool/die design
for forging components.
Work closely with foundry/forge shops for feasibility, cost optimization, and design changes.
Conduct
tolerance analysis
, GD&T application, and engineering calculations.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (quality, production, suppliers) to resolve technical issues.
Review and improve existing designs for
weight reduction, strength, and manufacturability
.
Prepare technical documentation, specifications, and design reports.

Preferred candidate profile

Strong knowledge of
casting and forging manufacturing processes
.
Experience in
CAD tool

UG NX
Understanding of
material selection, metallurgy, heat treatment
(preferred).
Experience with
casting simulation software
(MAGMASOFT / ProCAST / SolidCast) is a plus.
Good understanding of
GD&T
and engineering standards.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and manufacturing documents.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
