Design Engineer

As a Design Engineer at our organization based in Umargam, you will play a crucial role in the Technical Design department. Your primary responsibility will be to create and modify 2D and 3D designs using AutoCAD and SolidWorks for both new and existing products. Your keen attention to detail and innovative mindset will be essential in ensuring that the designs meet functionality, manufacturability, and quality standards. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Manager of Technical and Production and other cross-functional teams to develop products, components, or systems from concept to production. Your tasks will include developing detailed drawings, assemblies, and models, conducting design feasibility studies and simulations, and participating in prototype development, testing, and validation. To excel in this position, you must hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field. Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks is a must, along with a strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing methods. Your ability to interpret technical drawings, GD&T, and 3D models will be crucial for success in this role. Additionally, your problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills, coupled with strong communication and teamwork abilities, will be highly valued. Experience in a design engineering role, familiarity with simulation tools like SolidWorks Simulation, and knowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM) systems are preferred qualifications that will set you apart. This role will primarily be office-based, with occasional visits to design labs or manufacturing environments. Some travel to production facilities or supplier locations may be required.
