Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design hydraulic filter assemblies and components (e.g., filter housings, filter elements) using SolidWorks software.
• Develop precise 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings with appropriate GD&T standards.
• Create, manage, and update Bill of Materials (BOMs) using ERP in accordance with company procedures.
• Assist the Sales team by responding to Requests for Quotation (RFQs).
• Benchmark filter elements and assemblies against industry standards and competitor products.
• Coordinate with production, quality, procurement, and R&D to ensure design feasibility and alignment with project goals.
• Assist in prototype development, validation testing, and continuous design improvements.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant hydraulic and filtration standards.
• Support engineering change requests and maintain updated design documentation.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME).

Experience:

• 4-6 years of design experience, preferably in hydraulic systems, filtration, or related mechanical products.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in SolidWorks CAD (mandatory) & AutoCAD.
• Strong working knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5 or equivalent standards.
• Experience with BOM creation and maintenance using ERP.
• Familiar with manufacturing processes such as casting, machining, welding, and sheet metal fabrication.

Other Skills:

• Good understanding of mechanical drawing standards and tolerancing.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
