Design Engineer (Electrical)

The ideal candidate for this position should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. You should be between the ages of 27 to 40 and have 3 to 5 years of experience in the field. Your responsibilities will include demonstrating proficiency with circuit design software such as Altium, OrCAD, KiCad, etc. You should have a strong understanding of microcontrollers, sensors, power electronics, and embedded systems. Experience with lab equipment like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers is also required. Knowledge of EMI/EMC design principles and compliance testing is essential. You should have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Your tasks will involve designing and developing analog, digital, and mixed-signal electronic circuits and PCBs. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing circuit simulations, schematic capture, and PCB layout using tools like Altium Designer, Eagle, or OrCAD. Collaboration with firmware, mechanical, and test engineers to ensure system-level integration is expected. You will need to conduct design validation, testing, and troubleshooting of prototypes. Preparation of technical documentation including BOMs, schematics, test plans, and user manuals is also part of the role. Ensuring that designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., EMC, CE, FCC) is crucial. Supporting the transition of designs to manufacturing, including DFM and DFT considerations, and continuously evaluating and improving existing products for performance and cost optimization are key responsibilities.
