Deputy Manager/Manager - Application Engineering

Summary /Purpose of the role

• Good knowledge on rotating equipment, especially Centrifugal Pumps, Electric Motors, Steam Turbines and Mechanical seals.
• Conversant with pump specifications of various global consultants and EPC contractors

Role & responsibilities

• This role will be responsible for supporting international & Direct Business in various countries for offers preparation.
• Supporting International offices to prepare the reply against technical queries for offers submitted & mechanical seals.
• Should be well aware of specifications related to pumps viz. ISO 2858, ISO 5199, HIS, API610, API 682.
• The role will also involve assistance to IRO personnel during visit to various consultants and EPC contractors while technical discussions.
• To assist marketing team with data for making the proposal on New Product Development
• To attend technical meeting with sales person Engineer as & when required
• Training on Application engineering related to pump requirement for various segments like water, industry and Power.
• Applicant should be well aware of material specifications & its composition & suitability of these materials with various liquids.
• Having exposure to segments like water & irrigation, Power, Industry and Fire fighting pumps.
• Good knowledge on systems where the pumps are to be installed.

B.E. Mechanical/Production

Technology Skills

Requirement

• Good knowledge on rotating equipment, especially Centrifugal Pumps, Electric Motors, Diesel Engines & Mechanical seals.
• Good knowledge on MS word, excel
• Power point presentations.

Managerial Skills Requirement

• Problem solving and analytical skill
• Prior experience with customers on technical applications is essential
