Job Description

Lead and manage the SCM team handling multiple T&D projects (Transmission Lines, Substations, and associated equipment).
Develop and execute procurement strategies ensuring timely availability of materials within budgeted costs.
Handle key vendor relationships, including OEMs and channel partners for major equipment such as Transformers, Switchgear, Conductors, Cables, Insulators, and Structures.
Coordinate with Engineering, Project Execution, and Finance teams to ensure smooth project delivery and cost optimization.
Review material schedules, monitor vendor performance, and ensure adherence to contractual timelines and quality requirements.
Negotiate with suppliers for best commercial terms and delivery conditions.
Manage inventory planning, logistics, and dispatch activities to various project sites.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in SCM processes, including digital tools, cost analytics, and supplier development.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluation for the SCM team members.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and statutory regulations in all SCM activities.

Desired Profile:

Graduate in Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical preferred). MBA or PG Diploma in Supply Chain / Operations will be an added advantage.
13-16 years of relevant experience in
Supply Chain Management for T&D projects
, preferably with exposure to EPC or utility projects.
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP / Ariba).
Excellent team leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
Proven track record of managing multiple projects and vendors simultaneously under tight timelines.
