Deputy Manager - QS (Highways)

• Quantity Estimation & Measurement:

• Prepare, review, and verify quantity estimates for various civil works (earthwork, structures, pavement, drainage, etc.).
  
• Conduct site measurement and reconciliation of quantities executed.
  
• Prepare RA (Running Account) bills and ensure proper documentation of joint measurements.
  

• BOQ & Cost Management:

• Review drawings and tender documents to prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
  
• Monitor project cost and control budget utilization.
  
• Identify cost variations and initiate corrective actions.
  

• Billing & Documentation:

• Prepare client and subcontractor bills as per contract terms.
  
• Ensure timely submission and certification of bills.
  
• Maintain records of executed quantities, variations, and extra items.
  

• Contracts & Claims:

• Assist in contract administration, rate analysis, and interpretation of contract clauses.
  
• Prepare and support claims for variations, escalation, and time extensions.
  
• Liaise with client representatives and consultants on billing and contractual matters.
  

• Tendering & Estimation:

• Support tendering team for new projects with rate analysis, quantity take-off, and estimation inputs.
  
• Evaluate subcontractor quotations and assist in work order finalization.
  

• Coordination & Reporting:

• Coordinate with Planning, Execution, and Procurement teams for cost tracking and budget adherence.
  
• Prepare MIS reports for management review on cost, billing progress, and financial performance.
  

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of

  Road/Highway Project specifications (MoRTH standards)

  .
• Proficiency in

  AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Project / Primavera, and ERP systems.

• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and documentation skills.
  
• Strong understanding of

  contracts, tendering, and rate analysis

  .
• Ability to work independently and manage a team of junior QS engineers.

Preferred Background:

• Experience in

  EPC / Road / Highway infrastructure projects

  with reputed construction companies.
• Exposure to

  NHAI / MORTH / State Highway

  projects preferred.

• Immediate joiners (within 15 days) preferred
