Deputy Manager - HVAC Design

Role & responsibilities

• Candidate should have Design experience in HVAC systems, controls, water systems, dx splits, close control cooling, VRV, heat recovery ventilation, fan coils, air supply, carpark ventilation and extract etc.
• Responsible for the HVAC system design, tendering and cost control of mechanical projects.
• Responsible for the feasibility study, Conceptualization, Layout, Design and Development of HVAC system & associated system for integration
• Specification Determination for all HVAC and associated Components and Sub system
• Developing HVAC System Philosophy, P&ID's, equipment selections, plans, plant utility distribution plans, and system details.
• Developing building management system (BMS) control philosophy, details, Sequence of Operations.
• Responsible to guide and mentor team in customer requirement understanding, project review & query/RFI preparation.
• Ensure engineering drawings/submittals are prepared as per Company standard or customer specific requirements.
• Quality assurance: Ensure good quality engineering drawings/submittals abiding standard quality process.
• Support organizational strategic initiatives. Responsible for Quantification and control on allocated budget for HVAC /Mechanical system
• Cost & Weight Optimization through VA-VE and Benchmarking
• Coordination with all stakeholders (clients, consultants, architects, suppliers and sub contractors) for design and Development Activities

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience in Heat load calculations (HAP) of HVAC system and Knowledge of building load calculation software (Energy plus, Trane Trace, Carrier HAP, etc.)
• Experience of Design /Develop/Test HVAC system and associated system for integration.
• Capable in Technical Discussion with client & project execution, review of construction drawings, Technical Specification, Technical Recommendation, Quality Assurance Plan & Mechanical deliverables.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required. Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) required.
• Ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base.
• Knowledge Project Planning & Management, budgeting, Scheduling & Risk Management.
• Good Knowledge on ASHARE & SMACNA, ASME 31.3, ASME 31.1 & Knowledge of building codes and industry standards required.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Able to understand and challenge the consultant design and raise queries on it, to implement the system design as per project requirement.
• Understanding of Applicable Regulation &Testing requirements.
• Fantastic computer skills, engineering Autocad / Revit.
• Strong Knowledge in BMS Controls system engineering.
• Pharmaceuticals HVAC system with clean room design is added advantage to consider for this profile.
