Deputy Manager- Costing

As a Deputy Manager - Costing in the Finance department based in Mumbai, you will report to Vijayalaxmi Jagdale and play a crucial role in calculating the cost of goods sold and unsold inventory. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accuracy of cost calculations for pricing and profitability. Your key stakeholders will include the Plant, Sales, Marketing, Product Management & Product Development, and Purchasing teams. You will need to have a strong understanding of activity-based costing principles in the manufacturing industry. Your duties will involve overseeing the standard cost and Bill of Materials (BOM) for all products, monitoring variances in actual cost versus standard cost, and conducting cost releases in SAP. Furthermore, you will be responsible for inventory valuation and analysis to ensure correctness, conducting physical stock verification reports, participating in cost audits, statutory audits, internal audits, and assisting in US Anti-dumping duty related activities. Your decision-making authority will involve complex and strategic decisions impacting the outcome, as well as following SOP/policy for decision-making. Key Result Areas for your role will include managing inventory valuation, standard costing, cost audits, and SAP-related activities. To qualify for this role, you must be a qualified CMA / ICWA with 2-3 years of relevant experience in costing within a manufacturing company. Preferred skills include excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in analyzing manufacturing costs, comparing standard costs to actual production costs, margin analysis of customers/products, and leading costing and MIS teams. Your competencies should include demonstrated quantitative and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a process-oriented approach in executing assignments. Experience in SAP and MS Office tools such as Excel and PowerPoint will be beneficial for this role.,
