Deputy Manager - CAD Design

Job Description

Job summary: The Deputy Manager Mechanical Design will be responsible for leading the mechanical design and development of electric vehicle charging equipment (AC & DC chargers, including fast and ultra-fast chargers). The role includes end-to-end product design, thermal and structural analysis, prototyping, BOM creation, vendor interaction, and supporting compliance with industry and certification standards. Role & responsibilities Strong experience in enclosure design, thermal management, and outdoor product design. Proficient in 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks/Creo/Autodesk Inventor). Good understanding of DFM/DFA principles. Knowledge of relevant standards (IEC 61851, ISO 15118, IP65/IP67, IK10, etc.). Familiarity with mechanical compliance requirements for EVSE applications. Hands-on with prototyping and vendor coordination. Effective communication and team management skills. Preferred candidate profile Experience in designing high-power electronics enclosures (e.g., transformers, UPS, VFD). Exposure to EMI shielding, heat sinks, and liquid/air cooling designs. Understanding of certification processes (ARAI, BIS, CE, etc.).
