Job Title:

Position Overview:

Deputy Manager – Accounts

1. Plant Accounts Oversight:

  • Supervise and manage all financial and accounting activities at the plant level.
  • Monitor and record raw material inflows, production processes, and finished goods dispatches.
  • Ensure cost control and accurate booking of plant expenses.

2. Inventory & Dispatch Control:

  • Oversee inventory management systems, ensuring accurate stock records for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
  • Ensure dispatches are made as per schedule and coordinate with the logistics and sales teams.
  • Reconcile physical inventory with ERP records periodically.

3. MIS & Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and submit timely

    MIS reports

    on plant operations, costing, and financial performance.
  • Highlight variances and areas requiring management attention.
  • Generate monthly/quarterly/annual reports for internal review and compliance as per instructed by HOD.

4. Statutory & Financial Compliance:

  • Assist in preparation of

    monthly, quarterly and annual balance sheets

    .
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements (GST, TDS, etc.).
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.

5. Plant Operations & Cross-functional Support:

  • Conduct regular plant visits to assess and support financial processes, material handling, and operational needs.
  • Work closely with production, procurement, and dispatch teams to ensure financial discipline across functions.

6. Verification & Controls:

  • Verify all accounting entries, vendor bills, and plant-related financial documents.
  • Implement and monitor internal financial controls across all plant activities.

7 .Following Directions and Leadership Support

Take instructions and direction from HODs and senior management; implement financial / accounting / cost control policies as per their guidance.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualification:

    M.Com /MBA / CA Intern/ CMA Intern or equivalent
  • Experience:

    5–8 years of experience in accounts & finance, preferably in a

    manufacturing / chemical / process industry

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience in chemical manufacturing or similar process industry.
  • Demonstrated success in cost reduction / efficiency improvements.
  • Ability to work under pressure / meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of laws & statutory accounting / tax practices in the region.
