Depot Accountant

As a Depot Accountant in the FMCG/Distribution/Retail industry located in Oman, you will play a crucial role in managing financial and inventory activities at the depot. Your primary responsibilities include ensuring accuracy in daily cash handling, maintaining inventory records, reconciling sales, and supporting operational compliance through audits and stock checks. Your key responsibilities will revolve around inventory management, where you will be required to maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock checks and audits, reconcile physical stock with system data, and coordinate with warehouse staff and sales teams for efficient stock handling. Additionally, you will act as the custodian of the depot safe, handle petty cash disbursements, maintain expense records, and reconcile daily cash collections from sales teams. Your role will also involve reviewing and verifying invoices generated by van salesmen, conducting route audits to validate deliveries, and ensuring financial reporting by maintaining depot accounts and providing timely reports to the head office. To excel in this role, you must hold a Bachelor's degree in accounting, commerce, or a related field, along with a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a depot or FMCG distribution setup. Proficiency in cash handling and inventory systems is crucial. You should possess strong attention to detail, proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software, integrity, and the ability to work independently with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Your role will also require the ability to conduct field audits and effectively interact with sales personnel.,
