Deployment Engineer

As a Deployment Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying and configuring both private and public cloud environments to ensure robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure. Your role will involve the end-to-end deployment and configuration of Linux operating systems (Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS) on physical and virtual platforms, as well as managing hypervisors like KVM, VMware ESXi, and XenServer. You will lead the implementation of private and public cloud infrastructure using tools like OpenStack, Apache CloudStack, or other orchestration platforms. Automation scripts using Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages will be crucial for deployment tasks, and you will utilize Ansible and Terraform for infrastructure automation. Moreover, you will implement and manage monitoring tools like Zabbix, Prometheus, and Grafana to ensure efficient infrastructure operations. Your key responsibilities will include: - Deploying, configuring, and maintaining Linux operating systems on physical and virtual platforms - Installing and managing hypervisors such as KVM, VMware ESXi, and XenServer - Leading the implementation of private and public cloud infrastructure using tools like OpenStack, Apache CloudStack, or other orchestration platforms - Developing automation scripts using Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages for deployment and operational tasks - Utilizing Ansible and Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management - Implementing and managing monitoring and observability tools like Zabbix, Prometheus, and Grafana - Collaborating with physical infrastructure teams to set up and troubleshoot bare-metal hardware, storage systems, and network configurations - Documenting architecture designs, implementation plans, SOPs, and deployment workflows - Ensuring security best practices, system hardening, and compliance with infrastructure policies Qualifications required for this role: - At least 3+ years of experience in Linux system administration and troubleshooting - Experience with virtualization platforms like KVM, VMware, Xen, and cloud orchestration platforms such as OpenStack or CloudStack - Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or similar, and automation tools like Ansible and Terraform - Knowledge of monitoring tools like Zabbix, Prometheus, and Grafana, storage technologies, RAID configurations, and volume management Additionally, preferred qualifications include certifications such as RHCE, VCP, LFCS, or similar, exposure to container orchestration like Docker, Kubernetes, experience with cloud-native and hybrid infrastructure deployments, strong analytical thinking, excellent communication/documentation skills, and the ability to work independently in high-paced and mission-critical environments.,
