As a Delivery Driver, your role involves safely picking up and delivering packages, food, or goods to customers. You must ensure timely delivery as per assigned routes and schedules, verify the recipient, and collect signatures when required. Additionally, it is essential to keep the delivery vehicle clean and well-maintained, check fuel, brakes, tires, and other basic parts regularly, and report any issues or repairs needed. Your responsibilities also include handling items carefully to prevent damage, checking and verifying items before loading and unloading, and ensuring correct order delivery. Efficient route planning to minimize travel time is crucial, using GPS or maps to find delivery locations, and handling traffic and road conditions smartly. Furthermore, you are expected to provide receipts, maintain proper records, interact politely and professionally with customers, answer basic queries, and provide excellent service. Updating delivery status using mobile apps or delivery systems, reporting delays, delivery issues, or customer complaints, and following traffic rules and company safety guidelines are part of your duties.
