Job Description

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Design, configure, and maintain Debian-based systems.
Manage packages and dependencies using
APT
and related tools.
Develop and automate deployment workflows with Debian tools and shell scripting.
Diagnose and resolve system-level issues (networking, permissions, process management).
Integrate Debian systems with
CI/CD
pipelines and containerized environments.
Implement secure configuration standards and Debian hardening guidelines.
Document setup procedures, dependencies, and architecture for scalability.

Requirements

3+ years
of hands-on experience with Debian or Debian-based distributions.
Strong knowledge of
systemd
, file hierarchy, permissions, and boot processes.
Expertise in
APT package management
and repository maintenance.
Proven experience building and maintaining deployment pipelines.
Familiarity with
CI/CD tools
(Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI).
Working knowledge of
Docker / Podman / Kubernetes
for image builds.
Understanding of
secure administration
and package verification practices.
Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
